 After a long search, 56-year-old Bao Xishun, the world's tallest man, has found a partner through the personal ads. He married Xia Shujuan, a 29-year-old saleswoman from his home town Chifeng in Inner Mongolia.At 5ft 6in she is already taller than many English women, yet her husband to be still towers over two feet above her. The Beijing News newspaper reports that "After sending out marriage advertisements across the world and going through a long selection process, the efforts have finally paid off.” Mr Bao, also known as Xi Shun or "The Mast”, was confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2005 as the world's tallest person. His height was normal until 16 at which point, reaching his full height by the time he was 23. Mr Bao attained international prominence in recent months when he saved two dolphins that had become sick after nibbling on plastic from the edge of their pool at an aquarium in Liaoning province. Veterinarians had failed to remove the plastic with surgical instruments, and the fate of the dolphins looked bleak until Mr Bao was called upon to use his 42-inch-long arm to extract the shards. After a stint in the army, where he was recruited for a basketball team, Mr Bao returned to Inner Mongolia where he now herds livestock.
