Presentation of petition to Mr Andrew Dismore mp – parliament square

We are organising a protest to coincide with the presentation of our petition to Parliament expressing the concerns of all of us in relation to the changes imposed by this government on the qualifying period of settlement from 4 to 5 years.

There will be a mass demonstration which will gather at Parliament Square on Friday where we will voice our concerns with placards and media interviews with affected people.

Demonstrators will be wearing their work clothes so chefs will wear chefs' hats and carry woks, doctors will wear their white coats, nurses will wear their uniforms, and so on. This is to show that the Government changes affect EVERYONE from all walks of life.

The mass demonstration will be joined by a second group of protestors being led by a Chinese Lion dance team. The Chinese Lion will enter the grass area of Parliament Square with several community leaders to present the petition to Mr Andrew Dismore MP

Mr Andrew Dismore MP will then formally present the petition at between 2.30 -3.00pm.

If you or anyone you know is interested in joining the demonstration or would like to help in the organisation of the demonstration please contact either Ms Karen Li on 07985 470341 or Ms Kim Lee on 07985 470902.
