Workshop Leader Training Day for British East Asian Artists on 12th February
Date: 12th February 2010 Registration: 9.30- 10.00am Course: 10.00am - 5.00pm Location: Independent Theatre Council, 12 The Leathermarket, Weston St, London, SE1 3ER Main facilitator: Pauline Gladstone Two Speakers: Kumiko Mendl, Jane Rasch No of Participants: 20 people (First come first serve policy apply, £10 refundable deposit required) Outline of the training day This course is designed to give workshop leaders an insight into best practise on leading workshops in all working situations.
The Facilitator: Pauline Gladstone has 25 years experience of working in both public and voluntary arts and education sectors. During this time, she has specialised in arts-based practice with marginalised groups. She has worked as a teacher, a trainer, an education and training manager, and as a co-director of a national umbrella organisation for arts and social inclusion. Step Out Arts is in partnership with the Independent Theatre Council to host a one day training course, funded by the National Lottery through the Big Lottery Fund. This course will be relevant to BEA artists who are working or thinking of working with children as part of their artistic career.
