Funded by Vinvovled project(formerly known as national youth volunteering programme), this youth project is run by CMHA (Chinese Mental Health Association), aiming to provide learning opportunities to young Chinese people aged 16 to 25 through volunteering work. The intention is to encourage young people to volunteer and to develop skills and knowledge of helping people with mental health support needs. The youth volunteer will gain wide range of knowledge on mental health promotion as well as practice skills such as counselling, project planning, marketing, and health promotion events. Volunteers will also have an opportunity to receive accreditation like U.K. National Youth Volunteer Certificate or V50 award.
At the moment, we are looking for people with IT/website development skill, graphic/art design, and students of psychology, social work, health care, and art or music therapy are most desirable. Young people with an interest in marketing, PR and media are welcomed too.
