British-Chinese Pupils’ Identities, Education and Language Research Project
This research hopes to further explore the diverse experiences of young people from different family and linguistic backgrounds within the British Chinese community. The research aims to explore young people’s experiences in education and growing up in the UK. Participation will only involve an individual interview which takes about 20 minutes (could be done face-to face or over the phone; arrangements agreeable to the participant/parent would be made). If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please get in touch at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it . Getting in touch doesn't mean that you have to take part, it just means that you can get a bit more info about the study and then you can decide from there. Thank you very much in advance! |

Following a successful Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) funded project on pupils attending weekend Chinese classes, a new PhD research project is looking at young people of Chinese heritage in England (secondary/sixth form age) who speak little/no Chinese (any dialect).
