Reputation for excellence
Anglo-Chinese Junior College Choir, Singapore, has won much national
and international acclaim since its inception in 1989. It is comprised
of singers who commit to a choral excellence training while doing their
A levels. This makes the Choir's consistent richness of tone and maturity
of expression all the more impressive.
Wide cultural net
Built on the leadership of some of Singapore's best known choral specialists,
the ACJC Choir has an infectious love of singing. They are developing
a pedigree of choral talent among the young musicians of their city-state.
Choir members come from all the major ethnic groups in Singapore, and
demonstrate the richness of their heritage through their choice of repertoire.
Typical musical references are a solid grasp of the western line from
renaissance to modern avant garde; South & East Asian folk themes;
and a modern take on South East Asian blends. If you're interested in
how music reflects life, you'll find this college choir a real education.

mysongtime: the healthy option
And if you are based in London and fancy a chance to sing yourself, a
new exciting choral experience has just started right in the heart of
chinatown / soho. In the upstairs of St. Annes church on Dean Street,
on alternate Thursdays, a group called 'mysongtime' meets to indulge their
love of singing.
Singing can promote health and wellbeing by allowing you to clear your
mind and use your own body as an instrument. Based on the philosophy that
anybody can sing, the group has no auditions and does not read music to
learn pieces.
Instead you get a decent physical warm-up, followed by choral singing
and a relaxed singalong. Led by Jack Tan, the choir has an inclusive ethos
and a warm, fun atmosphere. For further information, contact:
