Make your voice heard.
BBC writersroom is running a training
scheme to develop new writers. Send us your bite sized film scripts
with an original and contemporary take on the British Born Chinese
experience.
We are offering:
- ‘How to’ workshops in
Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham and London in February
- Masterclasses for ten shortlisted
writers in April
- Development commissions for
up to five selected writers

Submission guidelines
- To be eligible to apply applicants
must be resident in the UK
- Scripts must be legibly typed
and formatted
- You may enter up to two submissions
- Scripts must be no more than
ten pages/minutes in length
- Submission(s) must arrive
by the deadline, 17 March 2008
- We can accept scripts via
post or email. If you are emailing, you should specify ‘bbc bites’
in the subject header
- The selection panel’s decision
is final and no further correspondence will be entered into
- Shortlisted candidates may
be asked to meet the selection panel for an informal interview
- All rights in material submitted
with your application will continue to belong to you, and if the BBC
wishes to use it (other than for purposes of selecting writers), you
will be offered a contract in accordance with the BBC’s standard practices
- Successful applicants will
be informed by 18 April 2008
