The Arts Council Capital Services Department is co-ordinating a half day forum to explore the capital funding needs of the Chinese arts community in London. The Forum will be an important occasion in allowing London based Chinese artists and groups to share aspirations and visions for a potential centre in London. Targeting Chinese artists, arts groups, administrators and community groups delivering arts activity in London, the forum will be an opportunity to: Find out more about the Arts Council Arts Capital Programme: who can apply and what it can fund. Ask questions about arts capital funding and find out how this funding could benefit you. Hear presentations from the two Chinese capital projects in the Arts Capital Programme: Chinese Arts Centre‚s, Manchester, and British Chinese Artists Association‚s in London. Contribute to the debate about dedicated spaces for Chinese artists in London. Chaired by Meeling Ng, the Forum will also include a presentation by Malcolm Allen, Head of Capital Services at the Arts Council about the Arts Capital Programme and there will be a facilitated discussion around Capital Development for Chinese groups in London.
