As part of the 2008 International V-Day Campaign to end violence against women and girls, Shams Development Organization (SDO) presents The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler. The proceeds from this event will support the SDO initiative “Sexual Violence, Justice and War: Saving Survivors of Comfort Women in China.”

This production not only aims to raise money for surviving Chinese Comfort Women, but also to act as an urgent call for international human rights defenders and feminist groups to help these elderly women reclaim justice and compensation, which have been denied to them for over 50 years.
