hi everyone, i'm new here. my name is Jun-Hung, student of contemporary arts at Alsager, Crewe.

without further ado, i like to jump striaght into something i know will evoke some feelings.

{Dimsum Fiction Series is a collection of short stories, loosely interwind, aiming to deconstruct some of the stereotype and myths surrounding the British Chinese Community, hopefully reinforcing an alternative eclectic image of the Asian Disapora. Most of the time we are pigeon holed into something we are not, indoctrinating a false set of beliefs, contributing to the existing tension and giving reason to discrimination. This project presents a perspective, where the community has traditionally never been thought of to be or had experienced. }

having read some of the fictional work here, i feel there ought to be enough material to work towards an independan film for next years chinese film festival in Glasgow.
as we speak, there is already a chinese exhibition 'base' in manchester for chinese artist all over the world to exhibit their work and also accomodation is provided, together with work spaces.

i would love to hear from the writers of these wonderful fictional work and of course, anyone whos interested.
