Hello and Welcome lol.
I am a White british citizen, (not like that matters lol) but yah.
In either 2009-2010 i am going to China to further my Education. I am just wondering if anyone has any Recomendations to any Pubs/Clubs where i can find a Large Majority of people with Chinese Ethnic background.
Mostly to Socialise with and get to know.
But if anyone could give me some recomendations on where to go or what to do please reply lol,. Also can people give me ideas on Universities? thanks:P

just cus i been learning the chinese culture for 10 years dont meen im despirate, it meens i love the culture so get your facts straight.
Also why would i bother spending money on going China if all i wana do is have play time :S
your a sick person dude to judge someone because of what they are going to accomplish. but u dont know me so what you say shouldnt annoy me :S

I would be careful about posting threads about "maybe meeting a nice girl in China"...for your own sake... the subtle innocent approach as all been seen before, however sincere you maybe.
I am not familiar with Xian or any University, however, I can tell you from my experience in Shanghai that if you are planning to study Chinese in China, then a lot of Chinese University language courses for foreigners are very outdated compared to western standards, though are intensive. If you are going to learn the language out in China I would recommend finding a private school which best suits your style and where you can have one-to-one tuition.
I would also have a guess and say that if you are planning on living in China a long time, then a more modern City would be a good idea. This is just a trend I noticed in Shanghai: a lot of expats originally choose to live in some remote country area (thinking it is going to be all harmonious and that they will gain some enlightened experience) but then realise how much they miss all of their creature comforts e.g. a toilet seat etc...
just my 50p's worth. |

But yah. I would like to see the Best of Both worlds. I personaly think that if i want to be in China and get the most out of it i should go to all the main areas. I would like to ask you for some advice. Prehaps the University you went to? I am still considering different Options but Xi'An is the one i have taken at the moment. Also what would the tuition fees be and course fees.
I hope you can get back to me on this. Thank you. and i also apreciate other peoples oppinions. Cheers

You're a uni student? What with the amount of typo's in the above text I would be very VERY surprised! Your English is worse than most mainlanders trying to learn English, they'd put you to shame mate.  |

...yeah yeah... though I'd imagine if a "nice lady" actually replied then it would turn into something else 
I reckon for a "first dip in the water" Xian might be a little rural for most people. The Terracotta warriors and Hua shan mountain won't seem that great after you have lived there a while. |

Lol ok fruitboy u did make me laugh then to be honest lol
But my Intentions are Straight, I want to Study in China then prehaps live there after a few years, and yes prehaps i would meet a woman in China.
But either way. Its what i want to do at the end of the day lol
And i do agree kinda with you about Xi'an, Prehaps i should take it in Steps. EG Shanghai then Prehaps after time go more rural.
Oh by the way that website you showed me is awesome, i have found loads of interesting things on it Cheers!!!!!
