Are we all turning into geeks? Or are the people who use the message boards all geeks? I thought BBC's are supposed to specialise in law, medicine or accountancy, but it seems that a lot of people on this message board have IT backgrounds.

I'm a minor geek, and had a bit of trouble convincing my parents that my career choice was a good way forward. still I think they're happy about it now. Anyone had similar experiences?
