When I grow up I wanna be...........
1) An international party animal - pple'll pay me turn up, eat their food, quaff their beer and hang out with their mates!! Any jobs going???
2) A scientist like Einstein - disqualified for not being old or ugly enough. B4 anyone add '...and no brains either' - i woz a smart cookie, andf my family is full of docs and bio-chemist types who find it hard to relate to anything not sitting quietly in a petri dish or a test tube.
3) A mercenery - being squeamish about explosions put paid to that ambition!! God - I woz the kid who hid behind the sofa when the 'A Team' woz on!!!
4) In hospital with a mysterious disease that has no cure - and have lots of nurses and doctors take good care of me. MY folks will turn up looking worried bearing my fav food to help me get better...I woz a kid u know!!!
5) Kung Fu Expert like those dudes in Lung Fu Mun - yeah kick ass!! Dad put paid to that one when he said 'disgrace the family and get into a fight, and u fight me...' My dad was a real hard streetfighter and that ambition got killed off too.
6) Artist in those cool chinese comics - parents dead against it saying u'r not doing anything that doesn't pay the bills. Do u think we'll pay to get u on a doss course????
7) Lawyer - liked the wig and gown get up, it looks really cool on TV. But too keen on the reality of ploughing thru lots of books written with the aim of boring the reader to death.
8) Fireman - except that I once set fire to my own house. My long suffering folks were not impressed at all, and the firemen thought me more suited to being a firestarter (while laffing their heads off)
9) Mi6 or Mi5 secret agent - I woz so upset I needed counsellling when I found out James Bond ain't real. Wah......

| Quite a list there porks. Any of these ambitions still apply? :) When I was about 7 a teacher asked me what I wanted to do when I grew up, and I said I wanted to work in an office. It seemed like the ultimate job to me at that age! |

I'd like to grow up and just say
I'm C H I N E S E . Drop the 2 Bs before the C,
knowing wherever I go in the world I'm Chinese.
I'm proud of who I am,however I know my grandparents would have loved to have heard me speak Chinese. You can never know too much about anything, especially your parents' culture .
When I was a kid I wanted to be a singer in a death metal band...serious. |

LOL - i don wanna grow up either, all dat responsibility, so many bills..........
I did get one of my dreams - i own my own pad and i'm bloody happy rite now. Coz its close to all the decent pubs! |
