Hi, I recently came back from spending a year in China and am hoping to keep learning Mandarin.

I just wondered whether anybody on here lives in Reading or goes to Reading University so that I can practice my Chinese with them!

I would check with the Chinese Society at Reading university, or alternatively look at small ad listings for language exchanges, such as those on www.gumtree.com

thanks for that, I already tried Reading Uni's society but to no avail... will try the website you mentioned!
