Iran is defiant and calling the West's bluff. What will the West do? If they back off, Iran will have a nuclear warhead for sure. They she can say "stuff you" to the West. Iran will then be the top dog in the Islamic world. That is what she wants to be.

If the West fannot loose face and then p[laces sanctions, it will make no difference to Iran. TYhe only way to stop Iran is confrontation. Will the West do this? What do you think?

The Iranian president said his message was one of peace
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has inaugurated a new phase of a heavy water reactor project despite Western fears about its nuclear programme.
He said Iran posed no threat to other states, not even its "enemy" Israel.

Heavy water made at Arak will be used to cool a reactor being built that will create a plutonium by-product that could be used to make atomic warheads.

Observers say Iran's move aims to send a signal of defiance days ahead of a UN deadline to halt uranium enrichment.

The US says Tehran is trying to build a nuclear weapon, while Iran says it is building a reactor to supply the country with nuclear power. "

Anywhere in history when there has been a buildup of arms, a war has ensued...

It's out of our hands now. All we can do is sit and watch, prepare for the worst and watch our skies for omens. While people can (peacefully) protest on all sides, which is good and as they should, showing their defiance, the powers that be simply ignore them or use it to fuel their own designs. It's not futile though; If the worst comes to the worst, at least the peoples will be somewhat united...

We can only hope.
