Hi there - I'm a British guy who has been living in Hong Kong for the past six years. I've been learning Cantonese for about a year now and really finding it very interesting and enjoyable. I've just completed the absolute beginner stage and can manage some fairly basic conversation now. I can also pick up more and more of what I hear around me, which is a great window into HK life - I can't believe I didn't start before. Anyway, I would like to enroll for some exams to give me a goal in my studies as well as a qualification to put on my CV. Can anyone recommend any good recognized GCSE, A level or other courses in Cantonese? Obviously I would need to do these remotely unless anyone knows of places in HK that offer them. Thanks very much indeed.

Hello HarpsHK,

Do Google searches on
[1] Learn Cantonese
[2] Cantonese GCSE
[3] Cantonese A-level

There are GCSE/A-level, Open University and Chinese qualifications.
