Could somebody please tell me what Chinese magazines are currently being published in the UK? They seem to be a real rarity. I used enjoy reading "Chinatown - The Magazine" a few years ago...until it mysteriously vanished into thin air! Any information concerning Chinese magazines (preferably in English or bilingual, although anything would be good) would be much appreciated. Any links to magazine websites would also be helpful, if they exist. Thank you.

Funnily enough I can answer that question Chinatown The Magazine was published by CTM Publishing Ltd (brainchild of William Ong I think) until the Company was dissolved 23/03/2010 or to be more precise it was struck of the register and dissolved. So to the next part of your question there are no other Chinese magazine being published in the UK. So far as I can gather it was in business for about seven years so they must have been doing something right, eh!!

Brings back other memories when I used to publish magazines 30 years ago. I still have nightmares about that! What a pity it folded, it could have been a vehicle for greater understanding.

I think I will go away and think about this and get back to you, I like your idea!!!!

ok i have thought about it , Dimsum is really a magazine ok a virtual on-line magazine.

no reason why a Chinese topical fashion magazine couldn't be produced given the right formula. by that I mean business formula/secret.

there would be a market for such i think after all William Ong recognised this.

twenty more years ago ok maybe thirty years ago i used a formula to create magazines with no more than a brain and a pencil and notebook as assets. i still have nightmares about it.
