I'm interested in all disciplines of acting and I will never leave the Theatre behind. Unfortunately, there is this widespread misconception that people only use Theatre as a springboard into film. British Theatre is alive and well and will always be my first love. Its a much more immediate and rewarding type of acting. |

I have nothing against Theatre, and aware of people's perceptions in the acting community, where Theatre is often thought as a springboard into film.
I presume you are at the stage where you are still defining your role?
Or are you up for any task and willing to let the work define your talent?
Sometime, I feel the Director can encourage or bring out those acting qualities, where the person themselves has never given much thought to the creative capabilities they can achieve.
Have you met many British-Chinese actor or actresses? |

Well I will draw the line at taking my clothes off! LOL! But I am interested in seeing what is out there and so far it seems to be ok. I'm playing a variety of roles and enjoying myself.
As for other BBC actors I'm meeting three others tonight as we are doing a short film together next week about the Dover tragedy back in 2000. |

Hi there. I have been involved in theatre production in the Republic of Ireland (I produced three shows at the National Folk Theatre of Ireland), and I must say that my immediate family were very supportive. However, this was the exception. Most other young people are under a lot of pressure to conform to certain value systems, especially with regards career. I think this may apply regardless of culture.
By the way Amy, good luck with that movie project you are involved with. |

Will this be shown on TV or just a sketch film? |

| Its only a student film but hey, everyone's got to start somewhere. I'm currently directing a musical for the Islington Chinese Association as well. Fun but exhausting! |

Yes everyone has to start somewhere, and you certainly have a positive attitude.
Have you heard of the Yellow Earth Theatre - www.yellowearth.org/ ?
They do some nice workshops if you want to develop further your acting skills etc. Or if you just want some valuable feedback, the director is worth talking too. |

Hi amy. Are there any plans to put the play on again? Or if not, is there any chance of putting the play online for people to read? I'm annoyed that I missed it now! _________________ Isn't it time you joined?
