Well, I spent today at a friend's house. She invited me to dine with her 2 sons.

I played Go with one, taught the other Go, and watched Eastenders with the mother.

We had a Chinese New Year party over the weekend for Chinese and Non-Chinese friends. We cooked some traditional dishes and everyone brought a dish to the party as well (to share our different cultures). We made paper dragons with all the children who came and we had a "dragon dance" with the adults banging intruments to the children's parade. All great fun! We gave all the children lei sei. It was a good time to catch up with everyone and everyone who came got a sense of how important the celebrations are for us and more importantly my children see and feel the significance. Very Happy
