Tay,
I have made no comments about Hong Kong, I have very little knowledge of the economy of Hong Kong specifically so I don't feel qualified to offer an opinion.

My gf is laughing as she is a 5th year architect student. She has advised me not to respond to any more of your posts as it is a complete waste of time.

This will be my last ever response to gwai lo.

I organsise CPD for Architects, Surveyors and Structural Engineers in my capacity of Chairman of our Local RICS association (in tandem with RIBA and IStructEng).

It is quite normal to outsource CAD work to India, and Malaysia is also becoming quite popular too. All of the large international practices do it and many smaller ones are waking up to the benefits of doing so. Articles appear on the subject with tedious regularity in the professional journals and I would urge your girlfriend to find out more. If she intends to practice as an architect in the UK she will be bound by rules that oblige her to put her clients interests before her own, and if outsourcing is in her clients interests that is what she must advise. To do otherwise would be unethical and unprofessional. I would be pleased to ket you have some contacts for RIBA branches in your area if you like. If you are in South London I know the Branch Chairman quite well and we work together on all manner of training for Architects (although not aimed at students really). I am sure we could arrange something on outsourcing if your girlfriend would like to hear more about it.

Well I hope you repsond to my offer. It is sincere. I have a passion for buildings and do all I can to encourage students to get the widest possible experience.

However, if your repsonses are only going to be in the same petty childish vein as your last one then I do hope you don't respond.
