A rather significant study of human genetics in Asia's population has come to a conclusion that our ancestors migrated out of Africa along the south coast - rather logically really (just follow the coast line!), which gave rise to the many peoples along the way, and chinese are the younger humans which eventually migrated north into China.

The knowledge of genetic similarity & differences will have important applications in medicine.

I always think this must be the most fantastic story and it is so sad that we are so blind to it.

Of course the rising oceans have submerged much of the evidence now but the study of genetics shows us how this was done. I find the whole story quite beautiful and how it gives the lie to the idea that one race is superior to another.

I find it quite wonderful that we are all "brothers and sisters" regardless of our colour or faith.
