I am a proud owner of 5 m0bile fones and 3 of them actually work. I have 2 fone lines one for fone and one for Intenet. I've got 3 computers, previously i had 4 of them until i got rid of one. I've got a DVD player even thu 2 of my computers play DVD, a video machine. The only bit of old tech is my TV which i got back in my student days only coz i'm quite sentimental about the old thng. Among Chinese pple i know quite a few folks who have even more techy stuff in the house!

So wot i wanna know is wot is the tech quotient ( i.e. how much tech u have) among folks on this website. Is this reflective of the Chinese community in general and why are we such tech fans? I know lots of English folks but no of them have living rooms full of techy stuff.

Hmm let's see...

1 laptop, 1 m0bile (basic model, no WAP or 3g), scanner, DVD player, midi system with minidisc, iPod, old portable TV, Gamecube. That's it I think.

I think I'm in the mid-range of techi-ness. Do I get extra points for regularly using an ftp client and posting on newsgroups?

Oh yeah, does my George Forman Lean Mean Grillin Machine count?? lol

3 DVD players (dedicated, X-Box, Laptop), 1 SVHS video player, 1 X-box, 1 28" TV, 1 SE T610 m0bile ph0ne on order, and I bought a Laptop PC last week after 6 years without a computer. Funny that, since I program software for a living :)

i have a tv and video ,and a m0bile...does a walkman count, or has it been relegated to antiquities?

I'm a techie too BTW but decided to leave that all @ work...
