And no doubt you will be aware that the first Victoria Cross to be awarded to a living person in over 40 years has today been awarded to a Black Immigrant who came to the UK in 1999 and joined the Army in 2000. As with a significant number of "British" soldiers he wasn't actually British when he joined the Army, since commonweath cistizens can join our Armed Forces. He served tours in Northern Ireland and in Kosovo and has been awarded his V.C. for service in Iraq.

The soldier was at the head of a five-vehicle convoy when it came under attack on 1 May 2004 in Iraq, and guided the column through a mile of enemy ground to drop off wounded comrades at great risk to his own safety, his citation said.

Weeks later, his vehicle was hit by an RPG round. Despite a head wound which required brain surgery, he managed to reverse his Warrior to safety.

As Sir Micheal Jackson said "His citation is an extraordinary story of one man's courage, in the way he risked his life for his colleagues not once, but twice"

So Mr White_as_a_sheet, have a think about what immigrants have done for "your" country. Then compare it with what you have done for it.

well yeah, alot did fight and i was wrong i suppose, as for the black immigrant who got awarded a VC, well he was a hero and did a good job, Ut i am not respecting some immigrant who does nothing yet expects everything, no offense, but those few you have been talking about are the exeptions, majority i still dont give a damn, most of them just try to change everything in britain to suit them, so you have a think about us putting ourselves out for others, and dont say it doesnt happen, look at you sticking up for them, they would never stik up for you, they look out for their own, why shouldnt we.......................................

as for more chinese dying than British, you had to add a lie in somewhere, do you mean gurkhas? they were from nepal, if so their losses werent as high as British forces, but at least the argies lost the most

Firstly I did not lie. You may not understand what "proportionately" means, but it does not mean that more Chinese died than whites. I am sure there are some nice Chinese people here who could help you learn English if you cannot understand it. Since I served with Gurkhas who remain friends I don't need an ignoramus like you tell tell me that they are not Chinese.

That is 8 out of a total 252 British dead, not including 3 civilian women. Now I know that this is going to get a little complicated for you, but 8 out of 252 represents over three percent of the total. Since far fewer than 3% of those who sailed with the task force were Chinese that means that the Chinese had proportionately higher deaths.

As for the Gurkhas, only one was Killed. Lance Corporal Budhaparsad Limbu

The immigrants who work hard and make a positive contribution to Britain far exceed those who do not, and a little research of your own would soon demonstrate that. But if you can't be bothered educating yourself that doesn't bother me.

I long ago realised that I can't think for other people, so when I come across the ignorant (or misguided) people like you I do two things. Firstly I point out that they are wrong and suggest they do some research and reading to improve thier knowledge and understanding. If they do that, great. If they don't I use real verifiable facts to highlight how ignorant they are. By making you look an idiot I hopefully deter others from wanting to appear stupid.

Only what you do now will determine whether you are indeed stupid or merely poorly informed.

Nobody is suggesting that you respect people who don't deserve respect, what I would suggest is that there are more Brits in Britain who don't deserve respect than Immigrants. More crime is commited by whites, more anti social behaviour is committed by whites, more whites live off of state benefits when they don't need to, etc, etc. Would you suggest that these criminal, anti social, idle white people represent white people in general? I expect not, but you are quite prepared to use the bad behaviour of a minority of immigrants to judge all immigrants. Why the double standards?

WHITE_AS_A_SHEET - the majority of immigrants into the UK are white. They usually come from USA and Australia / New Zealand etc. They are usually highly skilled and there must be good opportunities for them as they would'nt come over otherwise. How do you feel about them coming over to take British jobs?

The professional sector in which I work has many of them, and they are taking the jobs that the British aren't filling. I don't know why that is, but there certainly seems to be a skill set deficency in this area.

There is clearly no basis to your discussion - really trying to tir up racial hatred is boring. To be honest, we've had loads of people on the board like you before, so what you're doing is nothing new or interesting.

Why don't you go out and do some work or at least try to educate yourself to get your facts straight before you bitch and moan and try to blame everyone else for your short comings!

Get a life, and then you won't be envious of everyone else!!

but why they have to come here when the countries there from are More economicly developed anyway, ill never know? and also loads of Brits flood Australia, and your all making me feel guilty now, and i have gone vastly over the top, but i swear, people have made a bigger thing out of me than mister "one race wonder" eye candy

Really though I should give you a much harder time. You aspire to joining an Army I served in, and am proud of serving, and I would shamed by someone with your beliefs being part of it.

I find it odd that having used phrases like;
"all of you piss off back to your own corners of the world if you dont like us, ill kill you you yellow wimp, i will kill you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and "the only way to defeat racism, is through racism" you now think we are making too big a deal of it.

I'd suggest that you feel guilty because you know you are wrong. So now is the time to be a man, admit you are wrong (I don't mean to us publically), try to learn more about the positive thing that immigrants do, and move on to become a better man. We all make mistakes, and it takes courage to admit to yourself that you are wrong, but only by doing so can you grow and develop.

WHITE_AS_A_SHEET people have ALWAYS moved around different countries and different areas to find work/ different experiences / different qualities of life. In the UK , people have traditionally migrated to towns and cities where there is more work avaiable. People from this country go all over the world on holiday, in places such as thailand and malaysia and many settle done to live there too. On a larger scale, the British went over to America /Australia etc and the Chinese went to discover other areas of the world.

Hate it as much as you like, i'm afraid that you'll have to accept that migration/ immigration is part of human nature. After all, I'm sure you go abroad on holiday or even to other parts of the UK etc.

You also fail to see that immigrants into this country are essential for economic growth and over all prosperity. They bring a lot of money into the country and contribute to an enormous part of its industry, turnover and progress.

Even if you fail to see this, you can clearly see that immigrants are doing many important jobs that help the UK. One such job is working in the NHS which would be unable to continue without this influx of immigrants. It is common knowledge that the NHS has to advertise for workers overseas as they can't find the staff in the UK.

More ironically, a lot of Chinese people don't actually want to live in the UK because the quality of life is so bad. When the Hong Kong handover came into efffect, the UK government was worried about the potential influx of Chinese into the UK and therefore introduced controls allowing the richest and and most educated in.

However, most Chinese in this category chose to go over to places like Canada etc as they felt that life in the UK was too harsh. To be honest, mush as I love the UK, I would have to agree with them on this.

Britains identity and entire history is made up of different immigrants who have come to this country for different reasons - and this is what makes living in this country so interesting!

Franky, If you want to really debate something, you really need to get some facts to back up your argument on this message board. it's a bit silly to be so agressive, and when we challenge you, to complain that someone else is getting an easier time than you.

i suppose your right, exep t i dont agree that quality of life is poor here, and also i dont think compairing a holiday to someone going into a social system is a fair comparison, as for going abroad, once to italy, soaking up diffrent cultures, and my personal view is that what i go to diffrent countries for, to see what the people are like there, not go and lumber my own culture on them, (not so much chinese, but south asian culture, but i have been over board and made myself look like a half-wittid chav

i dont think you should all go home, even if you dislike it here (if its a deep hatred, well, then yes, go), i still think we should be able to reconize ourself as native (and thats not racist, so dont make it) i was wrong, it isnt immigrants fault that people dont care about britain anymore, i am going to start blaming my social problems on chavs from now on

When I read these things, I feel really disgusted with other chinese guys ( EYECANDY FOR EXAMPLE ) who can write this sort of racism, and as for "WHITE AS A SHEET" saying the only way to combat racism is with racism, well YOU BOTH HAVE NO BRAINS!!!!. I HATE RACISTS WHITE OR YELLOW.

My girlfriend is white and she's the best thing that happened to me as a chinese guy. For the SENSIBLE PEOPLE - please do not think, that all chinese guys have these views.
I WOULD, AND HAVE GONE OUT with chinese girls who have been out with white guys previously but what it really comes down to is how that person treats you. Nothing Else.
