I was talking to my bestfriend from Norway yesterday. She mentioned that she finds Western men who go to third world countries, such as India, East Asia or even Russia in search of wives disgusting, or the men who are Asian Fetish, just because they want to have a submissive partner, and that applies to the white gay men who take advantage of a lot of my Asian gay guy friends.
They choose to have a life partner from a poorer background and a different cultural background, because of the fact that they want somebody that can boss around and feel superior.

This is her comment. And, I agree from knowing how sleezy some of these guys are, as some did approach me, coz I am very much from far east: I do have a strong accent and Asian fashion sense. (The only reason why I do not respond is because I grew up in a fairly rich country too and I do have a very good education background! As well, I know from past experience, those people really have serious inferiority complex)

That conversation makes me realise the difference between a mix race relationship and a mix cultural relationship.

Mix race relationship, which had been covered in the past week discussion had their supporter, and non-supporter. I felt that I had not supported it because of my past experiences with mix race relationship. Then, I realise, because I am very much educated in Chinese society, in a Chinese medium school and holds a lot of the Chinese ethnic value by my heart in the way I live, I had always been in a mix cultural relationship on top of just mix race relationship. So, I really like to correct myself, if race differences within the same country, I am not opposing or commenting, because I never ever had similar experience.

Mix cultural relationship, where one is dating another of a different cultural background.
It can be, one from a first world country dating a third world country person, regardless the race. Example: Swedish dating Russian or Polish; British Black dating Jamaicans; and this poise a question, BBC dating a China Chinese, what implication is that? And, how many BBC really do date somebody who grew up in Asia?

My BBC friend went out with and married the Chinese girl he met in China. They speak English at home.

i think that all relationships can work out, whther mixed race or mixed culturally, as in every relationship, things need to be worked out between the two parties, and in the case of most chinese, between two families.
