I'm totally sick of hearing chinese people on TV adverts being given joke chinese accents. They stopped this on american tv years ago. Not only does it give out the wrong message its racist as well.
Would they ever have indians talking in silly accents like in that old tv show "it ain't half hot mum" I don't think so. the chinese are a soft target though.

They think this is sence of Humor, but in some people's eyes. This is a very bad one.

Chinese is a soft target. It is because for a long time, Chinese in UK just keep slience no matter how the other people laugh at us.

Most aparently Chinese people I see on TV have English accents...


Which, as a Scot, is offensive enough ;-)
