Who's having what?
I'm thinking roast duck or goose instead of turkey.

Crispy duck.

However, English tradition was always for beef or goose depend on income. Turkey only coming in as USA inport from America celebration of Thanksgiving.

English nursey rhymn saying..

Christmas is coming,
The goose getting fat,
Please put penny in old man hat...

Example of English Socialism in action. Rich giving money to peasants in hope of get to paradise and stop peasants from revolting.

Chinese would say...

Christmas exploit is coming,
The landlords duck/goose/goat/pig (anything with legs but not table) getting fat...
Please be loading AK47...

I'll be having oven baked duck.

The custom in Hong Kong among my uncles & aunts & friends is to race to pay the bill. The most well off always pays the bill in the end.

Seems to me to be the custom in Hong Kong.

Is this the usual chinese custom?

My experience of HK was that the only race was to rip off the other guy.

Enjoy duck. I have duck also but not kill it myself this time.

To be honest in rest of China custom is to argue who pay bill as sign of hospitality. Maybe you have good uncles.
