|
|
If you are in Central London and fancy eating authentic Malaysian hawkers food, try 'Malaysia Kopi Tiam' which is located on Charing Cross Road (near Leicester Square tube station).
In 'Malaysia Kopi Tiam', you can eat Hainan Chicken Rice, Penang Chow Koay Teow, Hokkien Mee, Pan Mee, Curry Mee (Laksa), Bak Kut Teh, Nasi Lemak, Sambal Petai, Fish Head Curry, Beef Rendang, Curry Chicken, Roti Canai, Rojak, Tufu Goreng, Teh Tarik, ABC Ice Kachang etc.
The food is pretty good, in my view. |

|
|
There are now three Malaysian/Singaporean Restaurants in London Soho Chinatown selling "street food", namely:
(1) Malaysian Kopi Tiam,
67 Charing Cross Road,
London WC2;
(2) Rasa Sayang,
5 Macclesfield Street,
London W1;
(3) C & R,
Rupert Court,
London W1.
Perhaps, you may wish to check them out, assis104s.
Happy eating. |

| Went with friends recently to Malaysia Kopi Tiam (near Leicester Square, London) to eat 'mini steam-boat'. Very good value indeed and we all enjoyed having the 'steam-boat' meal. We also had some Malaysian and Thai dishes there. |

Hello everyone,
As a lover of real Malaysian cuisine (my Mother is a Malaysian Chinese) I was very disappointed with the food offered at Rasa Sayang. The roti chanai tasted like it came out of a deep freezer whilst the curry was far too hot and didn't have any depth of flavour; however the disappointing highlight of the meal was definitely the Hainanese chicken rice. Tasteless and cold.
Avoid this place at all costs! |
