Very much so. We are often our own worst enemies. Such a shame, this would have been an important day these people would have looked forward to and treasured.

When we look at even this pleasant little forum drowned in spam of counterfeit products to hearing of tales like that unfortunate young Chinese couple in Newcastle led into fraud and gambling and then murdered by the criminal gangs. Every day my Chinese email accounts are full of emails from fraudsters wanting me to transfer vast sums of money for them. Offers of drugs and other dubious products. This addiction to commercial exploitation and criminality makes me very sad.

Every race has it's Vultures and Hyenas and we are no exception. It is just that we seem to do it with a particular enthusiasm.

Thats why we as Chinese need to take part in more charitable and visible things in the community that we live in. Give something back and not just 'exist'.
