Do you want to challenge rural racism in South West England?
Are you someone who can make the difference?
The Rural Racism Project is an initiative of The Monitoring Group, a registered charity helping victims of racial harassment and violence.
The Project hopes to provide a range of specialist services to meet the needs of those living in the predominately rural areas of the South West who
are distressed or are suffering because they have been victims of racial violence, abuse or harassment. We have recently been awarded a grant by the
National Lotteries Community Fund to provide a unique and innovative region-wide programme both to support race victims and enhance effective statutory response to the problem. Our operations will cover the counties of Cornwall, Devon, Dorset and Somerset, including those districts administered by single unitary authorities. Although we hope to locate a central office in Plymouth, our aim is to establish localized advice and support service throughout the area.
We are seeking to recruit the following positions
· The Project Manager – full time - Salary £21,840 per annum
· A Case officer – full time - Salary £18,670 per annum
· Two family support officers – part time staff - £10 per hour for 10 hours
week
