Hello,
I'm new to the forum and I'm after some advice. We getting married summer 2009 and would like to organise a Chinese banquet wedding in London.
Neither of us are religious so we're proposing a ceremony at a registrars office then moving to a Chinese restaurant for the banquet.
Can anyone recommend some likely restaurants please? We're looking to have 100 guests. So far we've looked at Royal China, Shanghai Blue and China Boulevard.
Plus having done a search through the forum and indeed the internet there are very few banquet venue listings.
Thank you for any help you can provide. |

There should be loads of places you can have the banquet - every restuarant in China Town.
We are getting married in August 2008 and are having our banquet in Yi-Ban, East London |

Phoenix Palace could be an option. It's very close to Westminster Town Hall if you're getting married there.

There are plenty of options, however, it really depends on the area, the number of people, and your budget. |

Hi
I know how difficult it is to find the right venue to have your reception.
We had our reception at the New World Restaurant.
I know that the restaurant is not the prettiest, but certainly is big enough on 1 Floor to cater for all your guests, so they are all included in the celebrations.
The New world is popular with the older generation, as it is seen as a traditional venue.
Being a photographer, I could recommend a few venues in Cardiff, should you decide to have your reception outside London, which should also be a lot cheaper.
Hope that helps, and good luck with your restaurant hunting.
Best Wishes for the future. |
