With the 10th anniversary of the HK handover to China happening what do you guys think about it, and how has it affected us here in the UK?

Is HK stronger now that it is part of China? it would be good to know your thoughts... from a BBC point of view.

Not sure if it has affected us here in the UK at all? Apart from more Chinese students and tourists....

Obviously the China economic boom has been timed just right, so I guess HK would be benefiting from increased tourism and investment from the mainland.

How about turning your question round, do you think HK being handed back to China played any part in regard to the boom which they're experiencing? Would it still have happened if they were still managed seperately?

hong kong apparently released 31, 888 fireworks!

there's a really interesting documentary on youtube called 10years after the handover, and a tvb series called 'the drive of life' which talks about hong kong pre and post handover.
