I don't know if anyone knows as I've only just found out this weekend, but Anita Mui has died. Her funeral was held recently, this weekend apparently, judging by the report on News24. She died in December, from lung complications arising from cervical cancer.

I'm shocked as it seems to have happened right out of the blue.

It wasn't a suprise to me as her sister died 4 years ago also from cervival cancer. Anita Mui held a press conference in Sept to announce that she is ill but will fight on and conquer the disease. After that, she decided to perform in concerts and also accept offer to appear in Japanese advertisement for a substantial amount, all these for her mother as Anita was worried if she died, no one will be able to look after her.
But judging from the newspaper reports so far since her funeral, it seemed there are two camps of people who claimed to be her friends, each throwing accusations and blames at the others.
Still I remembered watching on TV when I was little living in Hong Kong, and that wasn't that long ago!!! It is sad!
