There's a great documentary, made by Louis Theroux, about white supremacists in the US. While it's entertaining to watch, it is disturbing to realize that such people with these extreme views can even exist.
Most of the people interviewed hide their racist views from public (one woman's fiance is unwilling to appear on camera for fear of losing his job!). It's scary to know that your friendly neighbour could be a closet white supremacist (America's most famous racist has non-white 'friends')!

Your comments in this posting about "worrying about neighbours" made me smile.
You should not worry about your neighbours: Allow me to explain in citing very recent example.
Earlier tonight I am talking to nice farmer neighbour in his milking parlour. I have my good business suit on and a nice navy blue raincoat (picked up for $10 at charity shop, perfect fit).
So i am talking to nice farmer in his pit surrounded by 2 rows of ox arses. Long talk about bad weather and S.A.D. and I keep worrying about ox arses pointing obliquely in the direction of my "new" rain coat.
So i count myself lucky to leave with no mishap and drive off to go to the filling station. When I got out of the car i suddenly notice my trousers are well spattered from the knee down with ox sh*t!!
While old kang is worrying about ox arses nice farmer is spraying ground with his hose and in consequence my trouser legs and shoes. Easy fixed, I put shoes and trousers into washing machine.
so do you understand my rubric? dont worry about neighbours let them worry about you. or as i told my bank manager many years ago when he told me he was worrying about my overdraft...."no point in two of us worrying about it!" |

When I reached the paragraph about those posteriors, I was imagining 'old kang' bursting into flames caused by the those highly inflammable gases from those arses.
Eating all those highly indigestible 'grasses'; no wonder those oxes needs two stomachs to deal with all those 'green' cuisine.
Glad it is only a pair of old trousers and shoes that got mucked up; not your hurt feelings.
PS I spent my very young days avoiding those 'cow sh*t' when I needed to use the communal toilet. ( a thirty feet deep hole in the ground ) Definitely, a good training for avoiding stepping on muck, learn to deal with the smell and put the muck to good use.
That the reason I hate flies, it is seeing them multiply in the sh+t, striving in muck and then settling on my 'daily sustenance'. I had invested in many fly swipers, fly zappers, pest killers, etc. Yet these pestilence still continue to multiply.
Summer is coming, I am going out to stock up with more means of fly control/destruction. |

Hey Kong, yeah, I knew a couple of guys who went to Russia because they heard that the beautiful women were 'easy' picking, and they got beaten up by some skinhead thugs while walking in the street.
Russia, like many places in Europe right now, is extremely dangerous for 'coloured' tourists. With more and more uneducated white working class losing their jobs looking to blame ethnic groups for their problems on, we have to be careful.

I don't want to sound mean but I find their reason for going to Russia rather amusing, but of course it doesn't justify them being beaten up. Things may get worser with the current situation of the economy. |

| Sorry to hear about your friends getting beaten up, but there is one point i would like to make. It is rather strange that chinese women or asian women that travel to these eastern countries dont really get that sort of treatment or intimidation. Actually i have known japanese women travelling to these country without molestation or any violence, they actually say its a nice place. i have noticed that women from asian origin are left alone. Maybe the nazi believe that attacking a women is wrong or that to exterminate a society begins with foreign men. It very likely that the 350 deaths are mostly male. |

Kong, Russia has the lowest men to women ratio in the world. Most of the men died in the war, and therefore many Russian women find it hard to get a partner. Because of this, men from all over the world go to Russia solely for the purpose of finding a partner, or just for sex, it's much easier there to get a date! What many Russians fear, is that because of this 'sex tourism' that the Russian race is becoming 'diluted', so there is a strong backlash against immigration and Russia's image as a sex hotspot.
Personally, I have no sympathy for those who go to Russia for sex and get beaten up by nazis - It may sound harsh, but they got what they got for being naive about world affairs.

What planet have you been living on??? Unless you're a recent immigrant/visitor to a western country, this comes as no surprise at all. Hell, three of my work colleagues are closet racists, getting foul mouthed at the mere mention of anything non-white related. No doubt they slag me off too when I'm not there. But they're brilliant at hiding it with the boss, clients, the public. Law abiding, upstanding members of the public. Gentlemen, even.

Hi Jeff, I'm sorry to hear about your work colleagues and their racist views. Unfortunately, these people don't just exist in the West, there are still white racists, albeit smaller in numbers, in Hong Kong, who believe that certain bars/clubs belong to them, and they intimidate the locals, hoping they'll eventually leave.
It makes sense that people will be closet racists to preserve their jobs and public image, but there are many who have racist views but don't even consider themselves racist.
I had an Indian friend, that I knew from school, who saw himself as 'white', all his friends were white, and he only dated white girls, he denied his culture, and never acknowledged other Indians when he saw them. I knew some of the guys he hung out with, selfish types who were only out for themselves, they would make 'paki' jokes when he wasn't around, asking 'where's the paki?', I reported this to him, but he defended that they are just being lads and fooling around, and he refuses to see that they treat him more like a toy for their amusement. I don't know what his problem was, I guess he was just looking for acceptance in the only way he knew how?
On the subject of ox arses: yeah, only in the Dimsum Forum have I seen such erratic tangential breaks in a topic thread (some read like chop suey!!)- I suppose this is what gives this forum such a special and unique character...

| I have to agree with you Zombiehellmonkey. About white people in HK. I went back a couple of times and some of them of the white people are a disgrace and think they own the place, but particular the white men and the philiphina women. Thats why i hate goin to Lan Gwai fong because I hear really offensive terms about the local chinese in english. I think they team up with the philiphina's. They refer to the chinese in there traditional imperialist name 'Chinky' or 'Gook' like we dont understand, even though it is a international place. I have heard it several times. I thought if they did come to HK they would be more liberal, but they act all superior and have imperialist attitudes to the local, which i found really annoying. Actually the last time i went to the the Lan kwai bars, i had a really frustrating time. The philiphina women were treating me like dirt and she didnt want to serve me at the bar, even though they served a white man at the bar, she wanted me to sit in a seat and get served. She made me wait 10 minutes at the bar. They treated me like dirt even though i didnt do anything wrong. In addition they over charge the locals anyways, thats why i stay clear from that area before i hit a lazy white man. I dont go back to my own land to hear this rubbish, I actually look forward to a break from it. |

Hey Kong, sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience in Hong Kong, but yeah, there are places in LKF where you can get treated like dog crap - this is not to say that this happens everywhere in Hong Kong, because there are some places that remain a 'well kept secret' for the very reason to keep the 'scumbag' imperialists out!! But I feel it's important to experience what many locals go through, and contrary to popular BBC beliefs, most locals are very welcoming to the banana crowd, despite communication problems at times!
From my own personal experience in Lan Kwai Fong, I've experienced the worse discrimination from the British, Germans, and Australians. The Americans have always been friendly and chatty. But, I'm not out to 'reclaim' LKF; I just avoid places where I don't feel welcome.

It appears 'alright' for two so-called Chinese 'males' to talk about 'Chinese' or 'Filipino' women with your 'coloured' views of Chinese and 'Filipino' women with 'white' partners. ?????That would not be considered 'prejudiced and discriminatory'
The subject is 'White Supremacists in the UK, do they exist, and how big'. Yet, here is someone talking about 'Racism in LWF in Hong Kong'. ????Pot calling the kettle black. ?????Chop-Suey?????
Now how are we going to describe the 'Chop-Suey' the American way, or the British way or the Chinese Way? Is your 'Chop Suey' with 'brown sauce' or ' red sauce'??? Every Western cookery books claimed 'chop suey' as from American; yet 'chop-suey' had its original roots probably in the villages of China; whereby after a lot of feasting, the left-overs were put into one pot; with new favoursome ingredients like 'salted mustard' and 'dried herbs and spices' and cooked into a stew. This stew was then distributed to people going home after the feasts. This is in line with the Chinese philosopy that it is bad karma to 'waste food'.
Places like LWF exist in the heart of Chinese Society like HK, and the 'white foreigners' get blamed. Yet if there is 'flies on the dog-crap' in your own backyard; then you start to complain and excused yourself that you are not responsible?. Well, get a brush and pan and black bag; and scrub your own backyard and bag up the 'dog-crap'.
In UK as in HK, there are 'closet racists' existing in many corners of the society. In HK they are likely to be 'closet Chinese racists'; in UK they are likely to be 'closet English (White) racists'. It is the question of numbers.
Yesterday, I was supporting 'a brown looking Thai woman' in a police station. She had been robbed by a sweet talking credible White male. She reported the incident to the police and after the interviews with the police; this white male got more confidence to deprive this woman of more of her assets. And the pillars of Society allowed this to happen because she is a 'small defenceless Thai woman'. Of course, Thai women could not have any morals, she must have deserved this. She must be lying and this 'white male' with credentials teaching in a college, a member or associate belonging to the pillar of Society cannot be lying.
'Pestilence' like rats and flies will continue to exists everywhere and in many corners of the world. They come in all colours, shapes, sizes and sex. To deal with them, arm yourself with the tools of their destruction. Gases from all 'arses' stinks, learn to put up with the smell and clean them out of our own courtyard. |
