British woman beheaded in Tenerife supermarket

According to the Guardian, a homeless Bulgarian man, known to have been suffering from psychological problems, walked into a Chinese Supermarket in Tenerife - Spain - stabbed the victim - a British Chinese woman - and then beheaded her, before walking out onto the street, carrying the severed head. The British Foreign Office has confirmed that a British national has died.

However, despite the assertion that the victim was of British Chinese descent, her name has been released as Jennifer Mills-Westley.

She met an untimely death. Great pity, but it is like being run over by a bus. She looks every bit like a western woman, so I'm not at all surprised there is no mention of her chinese decent, but the information has no relevance really.

It is another case where psychiatric hospitals need to consider whether their release of a violent patient was avoidable.
