![]() This is the busiest time on the fashion calendar with all the major fashion weeks taking place around the world, New York, Paris, Milan, and throughout the coming week, it is London's turn to be host. To mark the beginning of London Fashion Week, LifeStyle has launched its fashion series to allow Dimsum readers to have a feel of the glamorous atmosphere. To start us off, I have decided to give a rundown of how the ‘StreetStyle Lookbook' feature works by showing a sample version. ![]() Shirt and Belt by Paul Smith, Brooch by Miu Miu, Overcoat by Dior Homme, Pocket Square Homemade with Liberty Fabric Skinny Jeans by Cheap Monday, Shoes by b Store limited for Dover Street Market For me, fashion accessory is a very important element when it comes to building a sharp look. If used accordingly, they are capable of generating focus points and enhance an average look into something a lot more original. As shown in the photos above, my recent favourite has been pocket squares homemade using Liberty fabric. For this particular outfit, I chose to use a blue pocket square to go with the shirt and shoes and contrast sharply with the black overcoat and skinny trousers. Instead of wearing a tie or a bow, which would make the outfit far too formal, I have chosen to stick on a Miu Miu brooch in the shape of a ladybird close to the collar in order to inject an extra sense of extravagance and playfulness to the look. So, this is how a street style lookbook entry works, I go round town snapping photos of people who I believe have successfully displayed their unique style through what they are wearing at the time, then bring back to share with every Dimsum readers here on LifeStyle. Please be aware that this is also an interactive feature so if you have a look you love of yourself and would like to share with other Dimsum readers, feel free to send me an e-mail at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it with a photo of your look along with a list of what you are actually wearing.
