Welcome to another Walk in My Wardrobe update! Having dressed up as a Hong Kong gentleman from the 1960s in my last outing, I have returned to the year 2010 and present to you my latest summer outfit, one that expresses a sense of casual elegance.

Hat, Shirt, Trousers all from Topman; Aviators by Ray Ban; Waist Coat from Lane Crawford (Hong Kong); Scarf from Zara
Watch from Casio G-Shock Series; Tote Bag by TEN Independent Design; Brogue Shoes by b Store x Dover Street Market

As you can see from the photos, the look itself actually consists of a white shirt, silk scarf, waist coat, black trousers and brogue shoes, items many would considered to be too formal to wear for a casual summer outing. However, for me, formal can also be casual depending on the way you wear them. In order to look more relaxed with these pieces, I rolled up the sleeves of the shirt and leg of the trousers to a few inches above my elbows and ankles respectively, left the top button of the shirt undone and left the end of the shirt hanging out. However, if I just leave it as it is, I will look like a scruffy businessman who had just been fired from a job, so in order to release a sense of casual elegance, I tied the silk scarf into a bow and tuck it underneath the collar as you would do with a tie, and added a customised waist coat, with only the top button done up. Finally apply a nice white hat, a pair of aviators and a tote bag (I will appreciate if it was made by TEN Independent Design as shown in the photo!) to unite everything into an attractive look for the style conscious guys this summer.
