The Chinese community has grown, mainly due to Chinese migrant workers. Although, now with new laws in place, migrant workers without sufficient proof of identity and work permits to allow them to work in the country can be sent home. So the Chinese population and community looks like it will stabilise.

The Chinese Olympics has been successful in letting the world know that China and its people are capable and becoming more sophisticated. China will soon become a country of superpower status. So the Chinese influence is a positive one.

However, the Chinese living in Britain must try to reach out and have contact with others outside of their own general community. I am glad there are websites like this set up and hope that more Chinese and non Chinese join and contribute their opinions and ideas.
