Nearly two weeks ago, Evening Standard ran a two page
article about how one of its undercover journalist was
working in London Chinatown to uncover the practise of
employers hiring illegal workers.
Min Quan is now helping the restaurant Wong Kei to seek redress from the court system after the untruths of the articles. They are also sympathetic of many people who are forced to work illegally by the British immigration system. As part of the regular monthly, All Parlimentary Group Meeting on British Chinese issues. This month topic is coincidentally on the Media. Min Quan, as part of the APPG is attending attend this meeting this Wednesday (20th Oct) at the House of Commons at Committee Room 6 from 6 to 8pm. They have also invited the Editor of Evening Standard to attend. BBC, Daily Telegraph and TVB Chinese Channel have confirm attendance.
