Why
In a democracy electoral voting is generally seen as the classic or traditional type of participation in the political process. Indeed, many people do exercise their right to vote. However, voter turnout has decreased over the years. Levels of non-registration are particularly high amongst certain population group such as Black Africans, British Chinese and young generation.

* Why don’t Chinese vote?
* Why don’t the younger generation vote?
* How to promote civic participation and encourage political engagement?
* Beyond voting, any other ways of involvement?
* How to raise the political awareness amongst the Chinese in Britain?

Is the a record of the proceedings and decisions made at the 'London Conference Beyond Voting 2006'?

this is an important conference expecially with the recent migrations from China and relocations from country to country.
