14th February 2000 Dimsum's leader comment: This is a survey on police response to racial incidents against Chinese people in the catering industry. This questionnaire is co-ordinated by The Monitoring Group. The purpose of this questionnaire is to find out how the Police deals with incidents of disruption/disturbance occurring in Chinese hot food establishments, and how the Chinese community feels about the Police's actions on such matters. We believe the findings from this questionnaire will assist the Chinese community to evaluate the scale of harassment facing Chinese hot food establishments, and will help us to identify ways to improve the Police service to the Chinese community when dealing with such incidents. The findings of this questionnaire will be published and submitted to the Home Office, the Commission for Racial Equality, and the Metropolitan Police. Please print and complete this questionnaire.
