Hi folks

Does anyone know if it's possible to get DVDs of some of the music shows or even a compilation DVD featuring the various artists and their songs.

You could try leveraging DimSum's media reputation and connections to talk with CCTV producers.

I did email them last year but the response wasn't particularly helpful.

On further thought, I think pursuing CCTV-3 is probably fruitless. This is because (I presume) CCTV-3 is only a broadcaster. Its music shows are essentially much like a cinema showing films, but with artist live appearances.
It is the record companies and the artists who hold the rights to performances and performance material.

Can you use the Sky+ box or something similar to capture CCTV-3 broadcasts? (The Sky+ box has a large hard disc to capture broadcasts).

Thanks, Edwina. I'm thinking of ditching Virgin Media and moving over to Sky for that very reason.
