Hi everyone!

After searching unsuccessfully for a Cantonese playgroup in London, I decided to start my own Smile

I just wanted to let everyone know that PlayCantonese runs a 1.5 hour playgroup once a month. We are trying to find a free space so we don't have to charge, at the moment we charge £3.50 per session, which covers the cost of the room.

Please contact me for more details on playcantonese@gmail.com

Looks to me these blog posts are written by people with a lot of pet personal theories about the world. Their vocabulary invention is astounding. They attract their own following which reinforces their believes through this vocabulary set.

Just label each new observation with a new label, and presto they come up with a new specialist subject area!

New generation of overseas chinese get so out of touch with past generation(s) of british chinese, that they think all their parents' preferences and values are 'chinese culture'.

I don't believe that these blogs are representative of british chinese, other than that those who blog have an itch to put their thoughts into words, and there is no reason to make generalisation about others as the sample is so small, and even those who blog do not even give their real name to enable more in-depth research or verification to be carried out.

This BBCZeitgeist.Blogspot.com blog is just a series of so-called "controversial issues" made up by the blogger and totally irrelevant in real life.

Turtlemother seems to have registered on this forum just to draw attention to this blog with every post, and is probably linked to "Mc Chin", the secretive founder of the blog.

This blogger tries to publicise his own blog from time to time with random interjections on various websites, including on this website and on the Guardian website.

See 'Is Mc Chin the most hated British born Chinese in the UK?'
