This proves that Chinese people can't sing if an English girl can go over there and sing average (imo) and win.

The amount of times I have heard Chinese sing karaoke badly beggers belief! Even simple Canto songs which are unchallenging and yet they still manage to sing out of tune!

She had competition of 1 billion and she beat them all! That speaks volumes for the competition. Very Happy

Typically, Karaoke goers everywhere sing badly out of tune and can't move.

The competition she won was only a local Jiangsu event, not event broadcasted outside Jiangsu.

Good for her and as they said 'who would want a mother daughter duo?' What they meant was a mother and daughter duo wouldn't appeal to the teen market that Cowell can make the most money from. And of course they wouldn't have been so dire that they could be put up to make fools of themselves for the crowd, like modern day bear baiting. All Simon Cowell wants is people he thinks he can make money from and his cohorts at the auditions and his talent scouts know what he wants and make sure he gets it. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't deliberately screen out any real talent that is a threat to the teeny boppers he wants before they get near a judge.
