The "London Festival 2012" is a 12-week program of concerts, exhibitions, films and live events in the run-up to the 2012 London Olympics.

Zhang Yimou (Chinese film director) will be taking part in the above festival by staging an opera in London in June 2012 vide: http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/usa/china/2012-03/01/content_14735112.htm  , the contents of which are self-explanatory.
