I agree, this Dimsum went stale ages ago, and there is no head chef at all.
Instead there's the odd external cook adding a lot of spam, yet nothing is done about it. |

Yes very disappoint.
Nothing but racist SPAM about Chinese restaurants and weddings and parts in dodgy movies that want asian hookers called "skimpi-thong" or martial arts gangsters selling knock-off DVDs.
If you want to discuss anything interesting then trolls turn up to beat you down and have to have the last word.
Why do you have to be chinese to play the piano or to cook in a chinese restaurant? Why do you have to be chinese to be a Asian movie or sell DVDs? |

I was referring to the recent more blatant spam from posters such as "wengaga", which the moderators should remove but which is being still being left. The website does not offer a way to report this spam or a quick way to alert any of the moderators, and none of the Dimsum team seem to monitor the website.
I also find very disturbing the postings that you describe as racist spam. I am all for a lively debate and some introspection and self-examination, but many postings, including some from well-meaning stalwarts of the forum, are well over the top and extremely negative.
The majority of the recent postings are job adverts, promotion of people's own businesses and services, and now promotion of dodgy websites such as "San Francisco Escorts". |

I specialize in being "over the top" and negative.
It really annoy me when you get these adverts that want "Chinese people to play in movie, be hooker (bring own Qipao) or DVD seller who get killed in first ten minutes."
Or the Chinese weddings that can only be filmed at extortionate cost by Chinese photographer using chinese film in chinese camera. Why cannot Europeans film Chinese weddings? How hard can it be? |

We are now back in the 1960s and 1970s. We are putting up with 'stale dimsum' and 'chop sueys' because there is 'nothing' better out there.
Or is this 'being typically Chinese'???? |

| Now if it were the 1960s we could wave our Little Red Books and hit people. |

Thought the red book are gathering dusts in the remote corners of each household.
Dimsum chefs need passion the like of Hakkasan or maybe Ping pong. I agree with Xi, bad chefs should be replaced. Or have the desire to excel or to survive been replaced by a slow death. |
