Hey just what we are on about in other threads.
A great opportunity to meet a stereotypical racist casting requirement. Your chance to play an illegal immigrant or possibly a hooker or knock-off DVD seller with martial arts skills and a silly accent. Do you want me in Qipao or pajamas and coolie hat? |

Yep. This is just another posting from someone who registered on this website in order to peddle their own services, like the spam merchants, wemgaga and cdexter.
Anyone fancy being an illegal immigrant? Apply quickly before all the positions go! Only emaciated Chinese need apply.

If you read my post properly, it says a variety of nationalities are required to portray some illegal immigrants, not just Chinese.
In fact most of the Chinese required for the film are meant to portray the background in real life central London: Amongst opera goers, restaurant patrons, passers by, customers in cafes visitors to a photo exhibition etc. _________________ Lesley Gogarty

Lesley, Would you go onto a Muslim website to recruit actors to play terrorists or an african website to find people to play criminals? You would not dare.
So why do you think it is acceptable to go onto a Chinese website to recruit actors to play illegal immigrants? It is just insulting. That is why we are offended. If you want a variety of people dont even mention illegal immigrants. It is just outright offensive. |
