Our immigration unit has had to deal with a massive rise in enquiries, particularly following the introduction of the U.K. Border Agency’s Point Based System and their ‘Legacy’ Programme for failed asylum seekers. Unfortunately, we are currently facing an unprecedented funding crisis which threatens this important service with closure. We have suffered such a difficult year which has left us with a funding deficit of approximately £15,000 for the current tax year. The aim of our fundraising gala is to raise this amount so that we can continue to provide our services which are particularly vital to London’s Chinese community. Should we be forced to close, many of our clients would, in desperation. They would be obliged to turn to unscrupulous advisors who would charge large fees for, often, highly dubious advice. We invite you to join us and look forward to seeing you there!
