Hi Everyone,

I work for NHS Blood and Transplant and we are desperately in need of recipient stories from the British Chinese Community.

We currently have a lack of blood donors from the community and the best way to persuade people to become donors is to hear how their blood can directly affect their community.

So, if you've received blood or you know someone who has, please do get in touch with me via a private message and I can talk to you more about our initiatives.

Thanks in advance and a massive thanks to all our donors from the British Chinese Community! I've put a poll on this post to see how many people from Dim Sum are lifesavers! Very Happy

I guess the effort to gather blood donations need to be more targeted. For example, target areas with high concentration of chinese, and at times and places that are convenient to that group of chinese. e.g. Gerrard St. in London.

The effort in using the right way to communicate is very important too.

Getting a message across to a spread out community is never an easy task.

Why do you want Chinese blood in preference to other blood? Isn't it all the same?
