I came across this documentary about an obsessive compulsive hoarder. It took the neighbours a gargantuan effort before this fellow came to his senses and realised that he was mentally ill.

Clearly, this documentary succeeded in helping the public understand the condition, and some people would be more tolerant and patient when they come across another person like this.

However, one cannot expect neighbours to show so much sympathy and care in a typical neighbourhood.

What insights can we draw from this documentary?
